Singapor
We shortened the long journey to Australia in 2013 with a stop in Singapore. For two and a half days we explored different corners of the lively, colorful and clean city on foot – and with the incredibly well organized metro: Chinatown with the imposing Buddha Tooth Temple, Little India and Arab Street as well as the Marina with the noble hotel “Marina Bay Sands”. Of course, one could have spent more time in the bustling metropolis, but this short stop over was fine for us. After two and a half days of multicultural feeling, we flew on to Australia to drive a campervan from Cairns to Sydney through the national parks. Quite a contrast to this dense packed Asien city! But that’s what made it so appealing to combine these two travel destinations. Recommended, we think!
